Ⅰ. Electrical batteries technology leads the development of core technologies for electric vehicles

1. In recent years, the United States has made steady progress in the field of electric vehicle technology, especially in electrical batteries technology that determines the important cost of electric vehicles. Since 1976, the Transportation Research and Development Center of the Argon National Laboratory in the United States has tested and evaluated more than 4,500 sets of batteries, and has a large number of patented technology and intellectual property rights for power li ion battery. They conduct special and detailed research and test verification from the engine itself, energy and fuel, and the entire life cycle of the car. According to reports, in addition to the excellent MIT battery material research and development team, they have established a life analysis model for batteries from powder, single-cell, module to Parker, and simulated the changes in electrical batteries characteristics at the moment of driving and parking. There is a comprehensive testing laboratory for batteries, modules and groups. Some equipment and testing content have not been seen in China. The battery of the same principle requires a process from material research, sample testing, product development to mass production, and then to users. I believe that the production of high-quality batteries requires a high-level R&D team, controlled source materials, first-class production lines, first-class management, and systematic and comprehensive testing.

2. In contrast, the basic research and testing of electric vehicles in some countries are far from enough. Moreover, the development of key components such as motors and electronic controls for electric vehicles in some countries is still a technical difficulty for a long time. Therefore, some companies should increase electrical batteries technology research and development and reserves, and cannot simply rely on government preferential policies. As long as the preferential policies are stopped, companies that are used to preferential policies are likely to get into trouble in a short period of time. Only those who survive by themselves can the company withstand the test of the market.

Ⅱ. Advances in electrical batteries technology play a huge role in the market

The development strategy of electric vehicles in the United States is to take hybrid electric vehicles first. After the technologies of electric vehicles are more mature and can be marketed, the gradual transition to pure electric vehicles is inseparable from the advancement of li ion battery technology. Therefore, although the United States currently accounts for more than one-third of the global electric vehicle ownership (71174 electric vehicles and 15192 electric vehicle power supply equipment at the end of 2012), the proportion of electric vehicle sales in the total passenger vehicle sales in the United States is only 0.5%, far lower than that in Norway, Japan, the Netherlands and other countries. Especially plug-in hybrid vehicles, whose sales account for 70% of the world's total, have been fully market-oriented and do not need government financial subsidies.
