To meet the project specifications, ACE Battery developed a customized residential energy storage solution based on the RESS-PE20-L2 low-voltage modular system. The solution combined a mature standard battery architecture with market-specific configuration for the Italian residential solar market.
ACE used the RESS-PE20-L2 as the core product platform and configured it into a scalable 6.6–19.8kWh residential battery solution.
Instead of introducing multiple independent battery models, ACE helped the customer standardize around one modular platform. This allowed the same system architecture to be used across small homes, family houses, and larger villas, while still supporting future capacity expansion.
For the Italian market, ACE configured the system for both indoor and outdoor residential installation.
The IP65-rated enclosure made the battery suitable for garages, utility rooms, covered terraces, and outdoor residential spaces. This configuration helped the customer handle different site conditions without changing the core battery platform.
We retained the 48V low-voltage architecture to match the customer's existing residential solar ecosystem.
This configuration reduced installation complexity for local technicians and supported easier integration with low-voltage hybrid inverter systems commonly used in residential solar projects.
We configured the system communication through CAN Bus and RS485 protocols to support integration with the customer's preferred inverter platforms.
This enabled the RESS-PE20-L2 to be used in both new rooftop solar installations and retrofit battery storage projects.
ACE configured the solution with app-based monitoring, SOC tracking, operating data visibility, alarm notifications, and remote diagnostic functions.
When paired with compatible hybrid inverters, the system also supports backup power operation for selected household loads during grid interruptions.
For visible home installations, ACE supplied a clean white enclosure and low-noise operating design.
This helped the battery system better match residential environments such as garages, utility rooms, and covered outdoor areas, where both appearance and comfort matter to homeowners.
ACE integrated LiFePO4 battery chemistry with an intelligent BMS protection strategy.
The system includes cell-level monitoring, temperature monitoring, overcharge protection, over-discharge protection, short-circuit protection, and multi-layer fault detection to support stable long-term operation in residential energy storage applications.
We also reserved flexibility for the customer's future product development needs, including private-label branding, documentation customization, additional inverter adaptation, and capacity expansion for homes with EV chargers or heat pumps.
By adopting the customized RESS-PE20-L2 platform, the customer was able to standardize its residential ESS offering for 4–10kW rooftop solar projects in Northern Italy. The solution provided flexible capacity expansion, indoor and outdoor installation support, low-voltage inverter integration, smart monitoring, and backup power readiness within a single modular battery platform.
